  4. In the application of aluminum alloy die-casting technology, the following aspects need to be paid attention to

1.The below is die-casting Process Flowchart

  • Tooling and Mold Design
  • Melting and Injection
  • Cooling
  • Ejection
  • Trimming and Finishing

1). Tooling and Mold Design:

The process begins with the design and fabrication of molds, which are typically made from tool steel.

The mold consists of two halves (the die) that fit together precisely. It has a cavity in the shape of the desired final product.

2). Melting and Injection:

Aluminum alloy is melted in a furnace at temperatures ranging from 650 to 700 degrees Celsius (1202 to 1292 degrees Fahrenheit).

The molten metal is then injected into the mold under high pressure. Injection pressures can range from 1000 to 30,000 psi, depending on the size and complexity of the part.

3). Cooling:

Once the molten metal is injected into the mold, it rapidly solidifies and takes the shape of the mold cavity.

Efficient cooling is crucial to achieve high production rates. Water or oil is often circulated through the mold to cool it quickly.

4). Ejection:

After the metal has solidified and the part has taken the shape of the mold, the two halves of the mold are separated, and the part is ejected.

Ejection pins or other mechanisms are used to push the part out of the mold.

5). Trimming and Finishing:

The ejected part may have excess material, known as flash, which is removed through trimming.

Additional finishing processes such as machining, sanding, or coating may be applied to achieve the desired final product specifications.
